WA CCL special events went well – “An Evening with the IPCC in Perth” –Western Australia IPCC Forum – was held on Thursday 21st March 7 – 9 PM as a public event – thank you to the 3 authors/contributors to IPCC 1.5°C report who gave presentations and participated in Q&A.
Conferences, workshops and forums all went well – Western Australia’s Regional Conference and Lobby Days were both wonderful – thank you to all presenters and participants. Read about it on the blog here.
Parliamentary Friends Climate group launched, in case you missed it, read about it here. CCL is delighted, as members have been advocating for such a group as a ‘safe’ forum for constructive dialogue on climate solutions since 2014.

SA Federal Parliamentary Liaisons Update
The CCL SA team has met with members of the house of representatives (MHRs) or the advisor(s) for federal seats of Grey, Mayo, Boothby and Port Adelaide; with advisors or SA Senators the Hon Birmingham, Patrick, Storer and Senator the Hon Wong; recently met again with Hon Mark Butler’s office; attended the ALP conference in Adelaide in December; liaised with Rebekha Sharkie MP’s office regarding the Parliamentary Friends of Climate Action; and met with Senator Simon Birmingham’s staff. CCL attended a public Climate Forum with Mark Butler, Shadow Minister in the electorate of Boothby, talked to members of the Labor Environment Action Network (LEAN) and is aiming to soon meet with member for Kingston, Ms Amanda Rishworth MP, and Senator Anne Ruston.
