9 February – Making every conversation count – Dr Kim Loo

Like many Citizens’ Climate Lobby volunteers and members Dr Kim Loo wears many climate action ‘hats’.

Not only is she an inspiring and active group and area coordinator (North Sydney area) , parliamentary liaison and mentor for Citizens’ Climate Lobby she is also a busy GP, a mum, an active member of Doctors for the Environment and a key team member in the No Time for Games campaign launched at Parliament House in the final sitting fortnight of 2018.

Kim encourages all her patients, colleagues and friends to join in climate solutions and has been on national TV to talk about how she has made her home and lifestyle genuinely sustainable.

She also ‘lobbied’ in the Wentworth by-election, and at the 2018 ALP Conference and has met, and potentially influenced, many politicians with her authoritative, down to earth and integrity-centred approach.

As this month’s special guest of CCL she will talk about her experience of being a member of several climate action organisations and how she has been able to blend and bridge between them.
