Richie Merzian is Director of the Climate and Energy Program at The Australia Institute and is based in Canberra.

He has attended several COPs, formerly as a member of the government delegation when he worked for the Department of Environment and Energy.

He will share his thoughts about the proceedings of the 2018 COP 24 in Katowiçe and its implications for Australian climate policy, climate and energy policy implications in an election year and prospects for carbon pricing under Labor.
